A calm, safe way to make deeper change possible

During hypnotherapy you enter a state of deep relaxation and focused attention. You remain consciously present, while the usual noise of everyday thinking becomes softer. This allows us to work with the layer where beliefs, emotions and automatic responses are stored.

In my practice, careful guidance is combined with methods that fit your request for help. The goal is not only to gain insight, but also to break recurring patterns so you can experience more calm, resilience and self-direction.

What people often want to know about hypnotherapy

What is hypnosis?

Think of being completely absorbed in a good film. If someone comes in at that moment, you may not notice it. External stimuli feel less present. Hypnosis is a state of concentrated attention, deep relaxation and a shift in awareness.

As a therapist, I use hypnosis as a safe and powerful way to help you get in touch with your subconscious more easily. When your attention turns inward, rational thinking moves into the background and there is more room for deeper processes, imagination and positive change.

Do I have control during hypnosis?

A common misunderstanding is that you lose control or that the therapist takes over. That image comes from stage hypnosis. In professional therapeutic hypnosis the opposite is true: you remain in control of yourself and your free will throughout the session.

Modern hypnotherapy uses a natural form of trance in which you can let go enough to work at a deeper level, while still remaining alert and aware.

Is hypnotherapy dangerous?

When hypnosis is used by a certified and well-trained therapist, it is a safe and very natural method.

I always assess carefully whether hypnotherapy is appropriate. With certain psychiatric conditions, severe depression, dementia, active addiction problems or specific medical complaints, hypnosis may be less suitable. That is why we always discuss your situation carefully in advance.
